K2 Management is proud to be the appointed Owner's Engineer for the Maryland Offshore Wind Project, a flagship initiative by US Wind.

This project, located off the coast of Maryland, represents a significant milestone in the United States' transition towards renewable energy. With a planned capacity of approximately 270 MW, the MarWin project will be Maryland’s largest offshore wind project to date.

Once fully developed, the project will contribute significantly to Maryland's energy mix, with US Wind's 85,000-acre lease area capable of supporting up to 1.5 GW of offshore wind capacity. The MarWin project is expected to be commissioned in 2024, marking a major step forward for renewable energy in the Mid-Atlantic region.

As the Owner’s Engineer, we are responsible for ensuring that the project meets the highest technical and engineering standards. Our scope of work includes project management, design and engineering, as well as package management which includes managing the tender process, supporting negotiations, and overseeing the various contracts and packages involved in the project.

We brings extensive experience and technical expertise from the global offshore wind industry to this project. Our track record in delivering complex offshore projects positions us as a trusted partner for US Wind.

President, Americas at K2 Management, Lars Andersen, said: “K2 Management understands what it takes to deliver complex offshore wind projects – from navigating technical challenges to driving financial optimization – and this expertise underpins our work in the US offshore wind market.”
